Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Development of Onshore Power Supply Facility at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal

Purpose of the EOI Exercise

The Kai Tak Cruise Terminal had reserved space for setting up onshore power supply (“OPS”) facilities during its construction. In view of the growing adoption of OPS in the international cruise industry in recent years, the Government conducted a consultancy study on the installation of OPS facilities at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal (“the Development”). The Government is conducting an EOI exercise to gauge private sector’s interest in investing in and operating the facilities, and to assess their commercial viability. The invitation for EOI exercise aims to solicit market interest, on a non-committal basis, in the Development, with a view to formulating the development arrangements.
