Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food

Less Sugar Friday

The campaign was launched in 2020 to encourage the public to gradually increase their awareness of reducing sugar intake, and eventually cultivate a less-sugar dietary habit. In view of the fact that the public is willing to support activities with specific theme held recurrently on designated day each week, and when more and more people learn about the activities and participate, a culture or trend will gradually take shape in the society, we resolve to launch the Less Sugar Friday campaign to let people participate with a relaxed mood on Friday. Customers purchasing designated sugar-free or less-sugar beverages at the participating teahouses on Friday can receive various concessions as encouragement.

At present, more than 100 teahouses across the territory have participated in the Campaign. Customers purchasing designated half-sugar, less-sugar and sugar-free beverages on Friday will receive HK$2 discount. The list of participating teahouses is as follows (Map):
